This guide shows how to bulk delete time activity records from QuickBooks Online using SaasAnt Transactions Online, so you can clean up issues like duplicate time entries, time logged for the wrong customer or project, wrong hours or rate, wrong billable status, or time entered on the wrong date, without deleting them one by one.
SaasAnt Transactions Online lets you search with filters, review the matching time activity entries, take a backup, and delete multiple records in a few clicks.
You need:
SaasAnt Transactions Online installed from the QuickBooks App Store (30 day trial available)
A QuickBooks Online company connected to SaasAnt Transactions Online

Open the QuickBooks App Store
Install SaasAnt Transactions Online and connect your QuickBooks Online company
Launch SaasAnt Transactions Online


From the SaasAnt dashboard, select Delete
On the setup screen, select Ready to clean up

Choose one:
Delete by Reference: Use this when you already know the exact reference values you want to delete.
Delete by Searching: Use this when you want to find time activity using filters (example: duplicates by amount, billable status, or date).
Select your method, then select Next.
Set Transaction Type to Time Activity
Choose the Date Type you want to filter by:
Created Date: When the time activity was first created in QuickBooks
Transaction Date: The date of the time entry
Last Updated Date: When the time activity was last edited in QuickBooks
Enter the date range

Select Customize
Apply the filters you need, such as:
AMOUNTS (From - to): Use this to target time entries within a specific total amount range.
Hourly Amount: Use this to narrow results by hourly rate amount when the rate is the key difference.
Billable Status: Use this to filter time entries by billable or non-billable status.
Detailed Report [Multi Lines]: Turn this on when you want to review line level details for each time activity entry before deleting.
Select Search to load matching time activity entries
Review the search results carefully
Select the time activity entries you want to delete
Download a backup (CSV or Excel) before deleting
Select Delete
Confirm the delete in the pop-up
Important: Deleting is not reversible. Always take the backup first, and delete in smaller batches if you are removing a large volume.

After deletion, SaasAnt shows a Deletion Summary. This summary is available to download for up to 2 days and can be used for records and audit tracking.

Check these:
Confirm Date Type and date range match when the time entries were created or edited
Remove filters one by one (AMOUNTS range, Hourly Amount, Billable Status) to broaden the search
Common reasons:
Some entries may be linked to other records and QuickBooks may restrict deletion
Try deleting a smaller selection to identify which specific entries fail, then review those entries inside QuickBooks Online.
Before deleting, confirm whether the time entry is already included in customer billing.
Deleting billed time can affect invoices and reports, so review the related customer activity first.
You cannot undo a delete in QuickBooks Online. Use your SaasAnt backup file to re-create the time activity entries if needed, or restore using your own backup process if available.
