Decide which rules, automations, backups, or companies you can remove if needed.
Sign in to SaasAnt Transactions Online.
Go to Billing. Your current subscription is shown here.
Click Upgrade to open the plan chooser. This is the control to change plans up or down.
Select the lower plan you want and click Subscribe.
One of two things will happen:
If your current setup already fits the new plan limits, the downgrade completes immediately.
If anything is over a limit, a popup lists what you must delete. Follow the guidance below, then return to Billing and repeat steps 3 to 4.
You will see a message titled Cannot switch to {plan name} with a list of features that exceed the selected plan.
Category | What triggers a block | How to resolve |
Automations | You have more automations than the new plan allows, or the new plan does not include automations | Delete extra automations until you are within the new plan limit |
Rules | You have rules but the new plan does not include rules, or you exceed the new plan’s rule limit | Delete rules until you are within the new plan limit |
Backups | You have backups or scheduled backups that are not included or exceed the new plan’s allowance | Delete extra backups |
Companies | You are moving from multi-company to single-company and have more than one active company | Remove extra companies so that only one remains on the subscription |
Users | You have more users than the selected plan allows | Delete users until your total fits the new plan |
Notes
You must delete features. There is no disable or pause option in this flow.
After completing the deletion of the features, return to the Billing section, open the plans page by clicking the Upgrade option, select the preferred plan, and click Subscribe.
If you are on a multi-company subscription and want to move to a single-company plan:
Decide which company you want to keep active on the new plan.
Remove other companies from your subscription so only one remains.
Return to Billing and complete the downgrade steps.
Billing for removed companies stops after you remove them from the subscription.
Import capacity is credit based. Your monthly credit allowance updates to match the new plan immediately.
If you run out of credits on the new plan during the current cycle, you will need to upgrade your plan to continue higher-volume work.
You choose a plan with fewer or no automations. Delete automations until your count is within the new limit, then try the downgrade again.
You are moving to a plan without rules. Delete all rules, then retry.
You are moving from multi-company to single-company. Remove extra companies so only one remains, then retry.
Your plan, limits, and included features update right away.
Features not included in the new plan are no longer available.
Payments and unused credits from the previous plan are not refunded or credited.
Can I complete the downgrade if I am still over a limit?
No. You must delete the extra features listed in the popup first.
Do I lose data when I downgrade?
Features you delete are removed. Features that remain but are not included in the new plan will not be accessible while you are on that plan.
Can I upgrade again later?
Yes. Go to Billing, click Upgrade, select the plan you want, and Subscribe.
Do credits block a downgrade?
No. Credits do not block the downgrade. They control how much you can import, export, modify, or delete after the downgrade. Your monthly allowance adjusts to the new plan immediately.
Where do I delete features?
Open the relevant section in the app. For example, open Automations to delete automations, Rules to delete rules, and Backups to delete backups. For multi-company moves, remove extra companies from your subscription before retrying the downgrade.
I clicked Subscribe and it still says I am over the limit
Open the sections listed in the popup and delete more features until your counts are within the new plan.
I cannot find what is over the limit
Reopen the downgrade flow. The popup will list each category with your current count and the new plan’s allowance.
I finished deleting, but the downgrade still fails
Refresh the Billing page, then try the downgrade again.
