1) What documents are required before initiating the Accounting Migration with SaasAnt?

  • Obtain the Bank Statement (PDF or Excel) covering all receipts and payments during the migration period, matching the closing balance.
  • Acquire the Credit Card Statement (PDF or Excel) covering all amounts spent during the migration period, matching the closing balance.
  • Provide details of receivables and payables as of the migration period.


2) What information will be migrated during the process?

  • Migrate Bank Transactions (Payments, Deposits, Expenses)
  • Transfer Credit Card Transactions (Card usage details)
  • Migrate Outstanding Open Invoices (AR)
  • Migrate Outstanding Open Bills (AP)
  • Perform Master Data Migration (Chart of Accounts, Customers, Vendors, Products & Services, etc.)
  • Include Journal entries for balances & adjustments if needed.


3)  Are there any limitations to the migration process?

  • Only reconciled account periods (months) will be migrated.
  • Multi-currency transactions will be converted into the Home Currency for migration.
  • Inventory details/Adjustments are not part of this migration.


4)  How does the SaasAnt Migration process work?

  • Participate in the public demo about the migration.
  • Receive an email invitation with a link to the migration portal.
  • Click "View Form" in the email to access the sign-up page.
  • Complete the Company Details, agree to terms, and finish the registration.
  • Navigate to the QuickBooks Online Migration form to initiate the migration process.
  • Download the migration template.
  • Update your sales, expenses & deposits in the migration template & upload.


5)  How can I access the migration form later if needed?

  • Log in to the Migration portal and go to 'Assigned Forms' on your dashboard; the form will be available for future use.


6)  What information is required in the Company Details section?

  • Provide First Name, Last Name, Email ID, Phone Number (with Country code), Company Name, Address (City, State, Pincode), and Website (Optional).


7)  What templates are available, and how are they used?

  • Templates include Bank Register, Credit Card Register, Open Invoices, Open Bills, and product master. Fill them accurately for efficient migration.


8)   Is it possible to upload the bank statement extracted from the bank portal?

  • Directly uploading the bank statement is not an option; however, you can enter the details of the bank transactions into the 'bank register' template.


9) How do we convert negative numbers from the bank statement to the bank register template?

  • Negative numbers can be categorized under "Withdrawals/Debit" in the bank register template.


10) Do I need to bring the balance in the bank statement to the bank register template?

  • Filling in the bank register template with the balance is not required.


11)  Which date format should be used in the bank register template?

  • Use the date format as MM/DD/YYYY in the bank register template or your desired format, mentioning it in the template.


12) Do we need to provide the customer/vendor, name in the bank register template?

  • Yes, it is necessary to provide the customer/vendor name in the bank register template if the transaction is associated with a vendor or customer name.


13)  How do I report cash payments/receipts in the migration template?

  • Update cash payments and receipts in the bank register template. However, provide separate entries for both bank and cash transactions.


14)  How do we display partial payments made to a credit card in the credit template: through a single transaction or multiple transactions?

  • Each payment must be shown separately in the credit card template


15) How do I display credit card transactions in the credit card template when using two credit cards?

  • Update the transaction in the credit card template separately for each card.


16)  Do we need to update if there is no transaction related to the credit card?

  • If there is no transaction, there is no need to update the credit card template


17) Do we need to fill in the bill reference details for any payment made on the credit card?

  • Yes, you need to provide the bill reference details in the credit card template.


18) Is it necessary to submit supporting documents for payments made by card?

  • Supporting documents for card payments are not required. Instead, furnish the bill details in the credit card template.


19)  Where can I indicate the partial amount pending with the customer?

  • Certainly, provide the details of the pending amount receivable from the customer in the AR (Account Receivable) template.


20) Why is admin access required for the SaasAnt migration process?

  • Admin access in QuickBooks is crucial for our team to establish your company profile and upload financial data securely. This access allows us to set up the necessary configurations for a seamless migration.


21)   Does agreeing to provide admin access grant automatic access to SaasAnt?

  •  Granting admin access does not automatically provide access to SaasAnt. To enable access, you must manually grant permission to our specified email, [email protected], within your QuickBooks admin settings


22)  Is the process of granting admin access secure?

  • The process is highly secure. We prioritize the security of your data, ensuring a robust and protected environment. You retain control throughout the setup and can revoke access once the configuration is complete.


23)  How is the handling of missing information managed during data validation?

  • Following verification, the SaasAnt migration team promptly addresses any identified gaps in mandatory information. You'll receive a response, and we'll guide you on providing the necessary details through email or resubmission in the Migration portal.


24) What is the protocol for updating entries during the migration?

25) What transpires in the concluding steps of data upload into QuickBooks?
